Like any other A.A. service, the primary purpose of those involved in archival work is to carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous. Archives service work is more than mere custodial activity; it is the means by which we collect, preserve and share the rich and meaningful heritage of our Fellowship. Members of this committee provide information about A.A. to those who have contact with alcoholics through their profession. This group includes health care professionals, educators, members of the clergy, lawyers, social workers, union leaders, and industrial managers, as well as those working in the field of alcoholism. Facilities |
The purpose of a Correctional Facilities Committee is to coordinate the work of individual A.A. members and groups who are interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics behind the walls, and to set up means of smoothing the way from the facility to the larger A.A. community through prerelease contacts. | cf@aaemass.org |

The purpose of the Grapevine Committee is to heighten the awareness at the Area, District, Group and individual member level of the spiritual value of the Grapevine and its specialty items as sobriety tools. | grapevine@aaemass.org |

Reviews A.A. literature, both conference-approved and local service materials from Districts, Conference and Standing Committees, and Central Office/Intergroups. Informs the fellowship within Area 30 of conference-approved literature, service materials, etc. | literature@aaemass.org |

The purpose of P.I. service work is to provide accurate A.A. information to the public when requested. P.I. committees visit schools, businesses and community meetings for this purpose. They also serve as resources for our friends in the local media, emphasizing our Traditions of anonymity, singleness of purpose and non-affiliation, as well as offering A.A. public service announcements to radio and television stations. | pi@aaemass.org |

Facilities |
The Treatment Facilities Committee is formed to coordinate the work of individual A.A. members and groups who are interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics in treatment facilities, and to set up means of “bridging the gap” from the facility to an A.A. group in the individual’s community. | treatment@aaemass.org |

Mass. State Convention |
Serves as the link to the Massachusetts State A.A. Convention. Co-hosted by members from Eastern Massachusetts (Area 30) and Western Massachusetts (Area 31) the weekend-long event is held in November and features: General Service Committee displays, a 24-hour alkathon, dances, a banquet, plus speaker meetings, AA videos, an Old Timer (or Long Timer, if you prefer) Meeting, with Al-Anon participation, and so much more!!! | mastateconvention@aaemass.org |
